Yesterday, I published an article about my current thoughts around simpler marketing and what that might look like. And while scrolling LinkedIn (I know, I know) I found this gem of a comment by Chris Bolton (LI profile):
This is exactly what I'm talking about.
The marketing we (collectively) are doing online — especially at the forefront of digital marketing — is starting to unravel at the seams. It's becoming expensive, increasingly privacy-exploiting, and immensely time-consuming. And for what? We could have sent postcards and probably gotten just as great results. We're creating noise, rather than connections.
I want to be one of those who's doing things better... even if that means going offline.
So yes, let's flummox the overlords.
